Mark Munge vs Zafa Elhaddad

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Egypt-Alexandria promoted show at Hotel Four Seasons Alexandria, Alexandria,  taking place on 04/09/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the African Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Modern Sport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mark Munge (15(11) - 0) who hails from Machakos, Kenya and Zafa Elhaddad(13 - 4(1) - 2) from Alexandria, Egypt.  Both Munge and Elhaddad weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yasin Abdel-Shafy, and the three ringside judges are Zuffur Haq, Saad Nadift and Shayan Kassem.  

Round 1: 

Munge steps inside and is on target with a stinging left hook.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Munge dabs at his face checking for damage.  Munge has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Munge gets on the inside and connects with a solid left hook.  
Munge is looking to close the distance and drives a firm left hook into his opponents ribs.  Munge tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Munge lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS ELHADDAD TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  
Munge is looking to close the distance.  Munge stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Munge lands two left hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a cross to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES ELHADDAD!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  
Munge lands a FEARSOME left hook.  ELHADDAD IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 9.  
Munge connects with a DESTRUCTIVE left uppercut.  ELHADDAD IS DOWN!  THE REF DOES NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THE COUNT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH AND HAS STOPPED THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Munge!
