Boxing Daily Report from the Big Bang Promotions promoted show at Big Gym, London,  taking place on 24/08/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Vanni Toma (4 - 0) who hails from Messina, Italy and Carl MacLeay(0 - 0) from Bangor, UK.  Both Toma and MacLeay weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zach Underwood, and the three ringside judges are Jim McCombie, Paul Lennon and Paul Lennon.  

Round 1: 

Toma gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Toma holds on to his opponent.  Toma is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Toma about fouling.

Toma lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Toma is looking to close the distance.  Toma quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a left hook to MacLeay's ribs.

Toma steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Toma holds on to his opponent.  Toma is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Toma uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on MacLeay's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Toma to stop fouling.

Toma crashes a spiteful right hook to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE MACLEAY WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  MacLeay almost instantly recovers. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...MacLeay's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  MacLeay's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  MacLeay's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

MacLeay steps away from his opponent and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Toma steps inside and is on target with a left hook.  
MacLeay steps to the outside.  Toma hits home with a cross.

Toma steps inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
MacLeay attempts to land a cross, but Toma sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.

Toma connects with a spiteful right hook.  MACLEAY WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  MacLeay quickly recovers.
