Anvr Iskanderov vs Boris Kakpenoff

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Tajikistan-Dushanbe promoted show at Dushanbe Yassin, Dushanbe,  taking place on 10/09/2025:

Clearly AI Tajikistan-Dushanbe have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Tajikistan Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Varzish TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Anvr Iskanderov (5 - 4 - 3) who hails from Dushanbe, Tajikistan and Boris Kakpenoff(6 - 10 - 4) from Dushanbe, Tajikistan.  Both Iskanderov and Kakpenoff weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Pyotr Nabiev, and the three ringside judges are Ramid Abbas, Marlen Zaiylkanow and Vuqar Dadashev.  

Round 1: 

Iskanderov finds the target with a jab.  
Kakpenoff quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Kakpenoff throws an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Kakpenoff hits home with a cross.  
Iskanderov steps to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Kakpenoff closes the distance and manouvers Iskanderov onto the ropes.  Iskanderov lands a left hook.  
Iskanderov switches the action to the outside.  Kakpenoff is on target with a cross.  
Iskanderov quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Kakpenoff drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Kakpenoff lands a right hook.  
Kakpenoff advances into close range and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Iskanderov throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps.  Iskanderov holds on to his opponent.  Iskanderov is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Iskanderov's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Kakpenoff's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

Kakpenoff gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but Iskanderov ties up his opponent.  Kakpenoff throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee warns Kakpenoff and breaks the clinch.  
Iskanderov wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kakpenoff dabs at his face checking for damage.  Kakpenoff has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
