Gareth Mabin vs Ian Lawgoch

Boxing Daily Report from the Elite Prizefighters promoted show at Titanic Hotel, Liverpool,  taking place on 12/09/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gareth Mabin (10(1) - 0) who hails from Bristol, UK and Ian Lawgoch(8 - 9(1) - 6) from Cardiff, UK.  Both Mabin and Lawgoch weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aftab Bilal, and the three ringside judges are Hassan Hassan, Ronald McCauley and Davie Lowden.

Lawgoch manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  Mabin lands a straight 1 - 2.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Lawgoch gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Lawgoch throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Mabin holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Mabin pushes his forearm into Lawgoch's face.  The ref breaks Mabin's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lawgoch gets on the inside and forces Mabin to retreat onto the ropes.  Lawgoch is starting to lose his head here!   He throws a low uppercut...that landed south of the border! The ref halts the action and sends Mabin to the neutral corner.    He tells Lawgoch to clean up his game.  The ref's patience seems to be wearing thin.
