Zacarias Higuera vs Montego Ortiz

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Chile-Santiago promoted show at Sheraton Santiago Hotel and Convention Center, Santiago,  taking place on 12/09/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South American Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UCV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Zacarias Higuera (18(5) - 0 - 1) who hails from Maipu, Chile and Montego Ortiz(16(2) - 1) from Resistencia, Argentina.  Both Higuera and Ortiz weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fidel Otero, and the three ringside judges are Lisandro Almonte, Santiago Burgos and Vicente Pintor.
