Dario Cal vs Nasario Jimenez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Costa Rica-San Jose promoted show at Neper Calvo Gym, San Jose,  taking place on 16/08/2025:

Clearly AI Costa Rica-San Jose have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Costa Rica Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Repretel Channel 11, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dario Cal (1 - 3 - 1) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Nasario Jimenez(4 - 2 - 1) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  Both Cal and Jimenez weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Krzysztof Boguslawski, and the three ringside judges are Oihane Clavijo, Onofre Marrufo and Manuel Borromeo.  

Round 1: 

Jimenez advances into close range and drives a stinging left uppercut into Cal's ribs.
