Fletcher Marques vs Aaron Lamont

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Alberta promoted show at Dan Inglish Gym, Calgary,  taking place on 17/08/2025:

Clearly AI Canada-Alberta have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Fletcher Marques (7 - 5(1) - 2) who hails from Calgary, Canada and Aaron Lamont(11 - 5) from Calgary, Canada.  Both Marques and Lamont weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Wayne Gall, and the three ringside judges are Dale Biggs, Malcolm Jones and Sean Camlin.  

Round 1: 

Lamont closes the distance and lands a right hook.  
Marques lands a left hook.  
Lamont gets on the inside.  Marques lands a left hook.  
Lamont feints a right hook, and then drives a left hook into Marques's body.  
Marques pivots to the side of his opponent.  Lamont attempts to land a right hook, but Marques blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Marques tries to step out of his opponents range.  Lamont is on target with a jab.  
Lamont steps inside and forces Marques to retreat into a neutral corner.  Lamont lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Lamont attempts to land a left uppercut, but Marques blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Lamont feints a right hook, but Marques ignores the feint and responds with a right uppercut.  
Lamont lands a left hook.  
Marques tries to step out of his opponents range.  Lamont lands a jab.  
Marques is on target with a left hook.  Marques attempts to land a left hook, but Lamont sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Lamont manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Lamont tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Lamont pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Lamont gets on the inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Lamont advances into close range and walks Marques into the blue corner.  Marques is on target with a left hook.
