Ami Strope vs Bryn Blyth

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Chapiteau CCSE Maisonneuve, Montreal,  taking place on 13/09/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Ami Strope (17(10) - 0) who hails from Kiel, Germany and Bryn Blyth(2 - 4 - 2) from Mississauga, Canada.  Both Strope and Blyth weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bruce Hathorne, and the three ringside judges are Carvell Brame, Erec Adore and Sinjon Bellanger.  

Round 1: 

Strope feints a jab, and then connects with an overhand right.  
Strope pivots to the right of his opponent.  Strope throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Strope clinches his opponent.  Strope is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Strope is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Strope attempts to land a jab, but Blyth blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Strope is on target with a solid cross.  
Blyth gets on the inside.  Strope hits home with a right hook.  
Strope finds the target with a jab.  
Strope steps away from his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Strope lands a left hook.  Strope ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Blyth pushes his forearm into Strope's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Blyth.  
Strope hits home with a stinging right hook.  Strope clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Strope pushes his forearm into Blyth's face.  The referee warns Strope and breaks the clinch.

Strope switches the action to the outside.  Strope feints a left hook, and then lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Strope is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Blyth's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Blyth's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
