James Sword vs Ian Erwin

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-British Columbia promoted show at Surrey Bower, Surrey,  taking place on 15/09/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Network, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are James Sword (9 - 8 - 3) who hails from Richmond, Canada and Ian Erwin(11 - 1) from Vancouver, Canada.  Sword weighed in at 175 pounds, while Erwin weighed in at 174 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Alec Aitken, and the three ringside judges are Sam Mortimer, Zachary Kenna and Mark Jones.  

Round 1: 

Erwin gets on the inside.  Erwin sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

As Sword tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Erwin dabs at his face checking for damage.
