Fresco Rubio vs Santiago Barquero

Boxing Daily Report from the Rourke & Salvador promoted show at Asuncion Ingles, Asuncion,  taking place on 31/08/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Fresco Rubio (1 - 0) who hails from Ciudad del Este, Paraguay and Santiago Barquero(0 - 2 - 1) from Asuncion, Paraguay.  Both Rubio and Barquero weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lorenzo Segundo, and the three ringside judges are Fanuco Mandes, Vegas Marrero and Agapetus Donoso.

Rubio connects with an overhand left.  Rubio attempts to land a cross, but Barquero parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Rubio lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Barquero tries to land a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a firm left hook.
