Nuru Dotse vs Owen Zokwana

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Randburg Adriaanse, Randburg,  taking place on 15/09/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the South Africa Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Nuru Dotse (11 - 9 - 2) who hails from Soweto, South Africa and Owen Zokwana(9 - 7 - 3) from Soweto, South Africa.  Dotse weighed in at 117 pounds and 15 ounces, while Zokwana weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vince Van Deventer, and the three ringside judges are Asavela Sikali, Xhosas Kwadwo and Amon Makwetla.  

Round 1: 

Dotse hits home with a cross.  
Zokwana advances into close range.  Zokwana retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Dotse is whaling away with hooks, but Zokwana keeps his defence tight.  Dotse is on target with a left hook.
