Zachary Purdie vs Laken Karoki

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Don Haskins Convention Center, El Paso,  taking place on 03/10/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Zachary Purdie (15(11) - 2) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Laken Karoki(13 - 4(3)) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Purdie and Karoki weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Stuart Ferrera, and the three ringside judges are Nicholas Wynne, Joel Abraham and David Smyth.  

Round 1:

As Purdie tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Karoki dabs at his face checking for damage.  Karoki has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
