Fred Baines vs Brin Webb

Boxing Daily Report from the Kurusu Promotions promoted show at Olympia, Liverpool,  taking place on 30/10/2025:

Clearly Kurusu Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Fred Baines (10 - 5 - 1) who hails from Sheffield, UK and Brin Webb(1 - 0 - 2) from Oxford, UK.  Both Baines and Webb weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Elliot, and the three ringside judges are Mel Loch, Kieran Saunders and Paul Elliot.  

Round 1: 

Baines steps to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Webb gets on the inside.  Baines is on target with a right hook.  
Baines sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross.

Baines gets on the inside.  Baines is on target with a left hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Baines dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Baines.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
