Vicenzo Barzanti vs Gianluigi Sabattini

Boxing Daily Report from the Tim Novak promoted show at Florence Dinucci, Florence,  taking place on 25/08/2025:

Clearly Tim Novak have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Italy-Tuscany Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vicenzo Barzanti (9 - 5 - 1) who hails from Florence, Italy and Gianluigi Sabattini(2 - 5 - 2) from Prato, Italy.  Both Barzanti and Sabattini weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Liberatore De Vito, and the three ringside judges are Sergio Leo, Valerio Conte and Liberatore De Vito.

Sabattini closes the distance.  Barzanti wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sabattini dabs at his face checking for damage.

Barzanti quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Sabattini time to recover.
