Hitoshi Kuba vs Kyo Igarashi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Kyoto promoted show at Hidaka Gym, Kyoto,  taking place on 23/09/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Kyoto Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hitoshi Kuba (8(1) - 1(1)) who hails from Kyoto, Japan and Kyo Igarashi(11 - 1) from Kyoto, Japan.  Both Kuba and Igarashi weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Takeshi Shimizu, and the three ringside judges are Naoki Kawasaki, Mikio Nagata and Takeo Imada.  

Round 1:
