Richie Strother vs Mark Gillmore

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Stephen Patu Gym, Christchurch,  taking place on 27/08/2025:

Clearly AI New Zealand-Canterbury have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Richie Strother (6 - 3 - 2) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Mark Gillmore(9 - 6 - 2) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Strother and Gillmore weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Corey Stobie, and the three ringside judges are Mike Muncie, Robert Laramore and Dave Pera.
