Shehu Ehwareme vs Gus Maimo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Edo State promoted show at Benin City Sylla, Benin City,  taking place on 26/09/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Shehu Ehwareme (11 - 7(2)) who hails from Benin City, Nigeria and Gus Maimo(9 - 4) from Maiduguri, Nigeria.  Both Ehwareme and Maimo weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yakubu Ezeifekaibeya, and the three ringside judges are Prince Ekpoki, Godfrey Adejobi and Kunle Tella.
