Oliver Neel vs Ben McRae

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Rob Gaudin Gym, Philadelphia,  taking place on 24/09/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Oliver Neel (2 - 0) who hails from Cedar Rapids, USA and Ben McRae(0 - 2 - 1) from Norfolk, USA.  Both Neel and McRae weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Alderdice, and the three ringside judges are Malcolm Kuntzman, Sammy Duchamp and Rich Orne.  

Round 1: 

Neel tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a sharp jab.  
Neel switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  Neel throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Neel sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
McRae closes the distance.  Neel lands a left uppercut.  
Neel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.

McRae walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Neel throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores McRae's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Neel hits home with a cross.

Neel connects with a left hook.  
Neel is looking to keep his distance.  McRae attempts to land a jab, but Neel blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
McRae steps inside.  Neel sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
McRae forces Neel to retreat onto the ropes.  Neel is on target with a left hook to McRae's liver.  
Neel lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.
