Oringo Balya vs Tavarius Juuko

Boxing Daily Report from the Manyama Promotions promoted show at Gethin Byaruhanga Gym, Kampala,  taking place on 02/09/2025:

Clearly Manyama Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uganda-Kampala District Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Oringo Balya (8 - 8) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Tavarius Juuko(7 - 6 - 5) from Kampala, Uganda.  Balya weighed in at 174 pounds and 13 ounces, while Juuko weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Naeem Kabuye, and the three ringside judges are Dave Ojara, Paul Butime and Mark Hamya.  

Round 1: 

Balya sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Juuko lands a right uppercut.
