Benedict Auriol vs Gaston Mellett

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Switzerland-West promoted show at Geneva Brame, Geneva,  taking place on 01/10/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Switzerland Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sport Szene Fernsehen, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Benedict Auriol (14 - 2) who hails from Lausanne, Switzerland and Gaston Mellett(5 - 11 - 1) from Geneva, Switzerland.  Both Auriol and Mellett weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Marcel Filipacchi, and the three ringside judges are Marvel Notte, Alain Gourcuff and Germain Villechaize.  

Round 1: 

Auriol advances into close range and is on target with a stinging right hook to Mellett's ribs.

Auriol backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Mellett accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Auriol.

Auriol steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Mellett almost instantly gets his legs back.
