Ricardo Cayo vs John Meiklejohn

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Chapiteau CCSE Maisonneuve, Montreal,  taking place on 11/10/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Ricardo Cayo (6(1) - 0) who hails from Lima, Peru and John Meiklejohn(7 - 8 - 3) from Toronto, Canada.  Both Cayo and Meiklejohn weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Carvell Brame, and the three ringside judges are Laurent Marceau, Aramis Duvauchelle and Sid Leys.  

Round 1: 

Cayo gets on the inside and is on target with a solid right uppercut.  
Cayo is on target with a solid cross.  
Cayo is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Meiklejohn finds the target with a jab.  
Cayo steps inside and drives a right hook into his opponents body.
