Dave Hush vs George Bates

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gold Coast,  taking place on 31/10/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Oceania Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dave Hush (12 - 1) who hails from Perth, Australia and George Bates(11 - 6 - 4) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Both Hush and Bates weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Billy Pryce, and the three ringside judges are Inigo Craigen, Leon Kellar and Giorgio Lombardo.  

Round 1: 

Hush is looking to keep his distance and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.
