Kashif Moghaddam vs Chen Owyang

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata,  taking place on 18/10/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Asia-Oceania Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Star Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Kashif Moghaddam (16(9) - 1(1)) who hails from Jodhpur, India and Chen Owyang(13 - 6(1)) from Yichang, China.  Both Moghaddam and Owyang weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gurudas Tewari, and the three ringside judges are Mandeep Banerjee, Indra Narayanan and Indra Narayanan.  

Round 1: 

Owyang sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Moghaddam lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Owyang quickly recovers. 
Moghaddam is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.

Moghaddam switches the action to the outside.  Moghaddam quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Owyang sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Owyang tries to land a jab, but Moghaddam sidesteps and counters with a FIERCE cross.  OWYANG WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Owyang almost instantly gets his legs back.

Moghaddam attempts to land a jab, but Owyang slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Moghaddam is looking to keep his distance and lands with a spiteful jab.  Moghaddam attempts to land an overhand right, but Owyang sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Moghaddam stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Owyang attempts to land a jab, but Moghaddam blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Moghaddam lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!
