Amjad Abdelrahman vs Waqar Habeb

Boxing Daily Report from the UAE Boxing promoted show at Azam Malick Gym, Dubai,  taking place on 05/10/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Amjad Abdelrahman (5 - 0) who hails from Abu Dhabi, UAE and Waqar Habeb(7 - 9 - 2) from Dubai, UAE.  Abdelrahman weighed in at 245 pounds and 12 ounces, while Habeb weighed in at 246 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Kashif Elmoudawi, and the three ringside judges are Atif Bukhari, Asif Hamra and Kashif Elmoudawi.  

Round 1:

Habeb tries to keep the action at long range.  Abdelrahman lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.

Abdelrahman advances into close range and throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Abdelrahman clinches his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Abdelrahman gets on the inside.  Habeb throws a left hook, but Abdelrahman holds on to his opponent.  Abdelrahman is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Abdelrahman.  
Abdelrahman hits home with a solid right hook.  
Abdelrahman gets on the inside.  Abdelrahman is on target with a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.  Abdelrahman clinches his opponent.  Abdelrahman hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee warns Abdelrahman and breaks the clinch.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together! Habeb has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
