Brendan McVean vs Diego Calzada

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Rattlesnake Gym, Arlington,  taking place on 27/09/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Brendan McVean (2 - 0) who hails from Lincoln, USA and Diego Calzada(0 - 3 - 2) from Juarez, Mexico.  McVean weighed in at 126 pounds, while Calzada weighed in at 125 pounds and 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is David Smyth, and the three ringside judges are David Smyth, Euan Bellis and Paul Kernell.

Calzada steps inside.  McVean connects with a right hook.  Calzada wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McVean dabs at his face checking for damage.
