Wu-pen Canh vs Mohsin Hamdan

Boxing Daily Report from the UAE Boxing promoted show at Azam Malick Gym, Dubai,  taking place on 05/10/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Wu-pen Canh (8(4) - 1) who hails from Shah Alam, Malaysia and Mohsin Hamdan(3 - 11 - 3) from Dubai, UAE.  Both Canh and Hamdan weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kashif Elmoudawi, and the three ringside judges are Atif Bukhari, Asif Hamra and Kashif Elmoudawi.  

Round 1: 

Hamdan tries to step out of his opponents range.  Canh feints a cross, but Hamdan ignores the feint and responds with a right uppercut.  
Hamdan throws a left uppercut, but Canh holds on to his opponent.  Canh pushes his forearm into Hamdan's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Canh walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Canh lands a left uppercut.  Canh ties up his opponent.  Hamdan throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Hamdan to stop fouling.  
Canh throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Canh ties up his opponent.  Canh leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Canh is on target with a solid right hook to his opponents body.  
Canh lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Hamdan connects with a right uppercut.  
Canh advances into close range and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Canh walks Hamdan down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Canh lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hamdan switches the action to the outside.  Canh connects with a cross.

Canh lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Canh steps inside and drives a solid left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Canh is on target with a left uppercut.  
Hamdan throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Canh time to recover.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Hamdan's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Hamdan's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Canh advances into close range and is on target with a left hook to Hamdan's liver.  
Canh closes the distance and is on target with a solid right hook to Hamdan's ribcage.  Canh tries to land a right hook, but Hamdan parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
