Malcolm Carnegie vs Sam Rust

Boxing Daily Report from the TRM promo promoted show at London McCalla, London,  taking place on 26/09/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Malcolm Carnegie (1 - 0) who hails from Edinburgh, UK and Sam Rust(2 - 8 - 3) from Gloucester, UK.  Carnegie weighed in at 174 pounds And 14 ounces, while Rust weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Matthew Flint, and the three ringside judges are Alastair Myres, Sammy Lockey and Robert Desmond.  

Round 1: 

Carnegie steps inside and connects with a right hook.  Carnegie ties up his opponent.  Carnegie pushes his forearm into Rust's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Carnegie finds the target with a sharp jab.  
Carnegie pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Carnegie pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Carnegie is looking to close the distance.  Carnegie hits home with a right hook.  Rust wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Carnegie.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Carnegie gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Carnegie is on target with a left hook.  Carnegie ties up his opponent.  Carnegie pushes his forearm into Rust's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Carnegie.

Carnegie closes the distance.  Carnegie quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Carnegie throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the punch.  Carnegie ties up his opponent.  Carnegie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Carnegie lands a right uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.

Carnegie is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook to Rust's body.

Rust tries to land a cross, but Carnegie sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Rust pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Carnegie steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.
