Franciscus Vaes vs Jerome Helugghen

Boxing Daily Report from the Pianim Promotions promoted show at Antwerp Van de Wandele, Antwerp,  taking place on 15/10/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Belgium-Flanders Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sport10, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Franciscus Vaes (15(2) - 4 - 1) who hails from Antwerp, Belgium and Jerome Helugghen(10 - 8(1) - 4) from Bruges, Belgium.  Both Vaes and Helugghen weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Edeward Van Beuvays, and the three ringside judges are Lodewijk Fierens, Robin Daens and Elooi Feye.
