Ollie Maddox vs Sid Lopez

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Theater Center, Los Angeles,  taking place on 27/10/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ollie Ox Maddox (13(3) - 0) who hails from San Bernardino, USA and Sid Lopez(13 - 8 - 1) from Houston, USA.  Both Maddox and Lopez weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mick Gwilym, and the three ringside judges are Oliver Williston, Morgan Kneeland and Clint Grullon.  

Round 1: 

Maddox lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Maddox gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Maddox ties up his opponent.  Maddox is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Maddox to stop fouling.

The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Lopez.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Maddox feints a right, and then lands a spiteful jab.
