Amer Hoque vs Khalid Gerges

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Jordan-Amman promoted show at Amman Ghazi, Amman,  taking place on 23/10/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Jordan-Amman Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on JTV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Amer Hoque (12 - 3) who hails from Amman, Jordan and Khalid Gerges(7 - 3) from Amman, Jordan.  Both Hoque and Gerges weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ahmed Fares, and the three ringside judges are Adnan Abishetan, Azam Amara and Mohsin Nabih.  

Round 1: 

Hoque pivots to the right of his opponent.  Hoque digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Hoque ties up his opponent.  Hoque is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Hoque about fouling.  
Hoque is looking to close the distance.  Gerges throws a right hook, but Hoque clinches his opponent.  Hoque leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
