Nathan Franssens vs Tenenan Marques

Boxing Daily Report from the Kurusu Promotions promoted show at Bobby Moore Room Wembley Stadium, London,  taking place on 11/12/2025:

Clearly Kurusu Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nathan Franssens (12 - 5 - 6) who hails from Utrecht, Netherlands and Tenenan Marques(7 - 11 - 4) from Paris, France.  Both Franssens and Marques weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Charles Thomson, and the three ringside judges are Michael Findlay, Fraser Carroll and Harry Mullins.  

Round 1: 

Marques hits home with a right hook.  
Franssens steps to the outside and tries to land a cross, but Marques blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Franssens tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Franssens finds the target with a jab.  
Franssens sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.

Franssens steps to the outside.  Marques quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with an overhand right.

Marques is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Marques hits home with a left hook.  Marques wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Franssens has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.
