Agapetus Placido vs Pablo Paras

Boxing Daily Report from the ADR Boxing promoted show at Rizal Memoria Coliseum, Manila,  taking place on 25/11/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Philippines-NCR Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Agapetus Manila Mauler Placido (12(9) - 0) who hails from Manila, Philippines and Pablo Paras(14 - 5 - 4) from Caloocan, Philippines.  Both Placido and Paras weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Onofre Dimasalang, and the three ringside judges are Will Pinpin, Diego Bohol and Daniel Magtubo.  

Round 1: 

Placido feints a jab, tricking Paras into countering with a right hook.  Placido is waiting for the shot and counters with a left hook to Paras's liver.  
Placido hits home with a stinging cross.  
Placido steps away from his opponent and attempts to land an overhand left, but Paras blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Placido contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Paras attempts to land a jab, but Placido sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Placido hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Placido connects with a sharp cross.  
Placido pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a stinging jab.  
Placido is on target with a jab to Paras's body.  
Placido feints a right hook, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Placido lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Paras cuts off the ring, trapping Placido on the ropes.  Placido finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Paras attempts to land a cross, but Placido blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Paras throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Placido hits the target with a solid jab.  
Placido steps to the outside.  Placido sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a FEROCIOUS cross.  PARAS IS HURT!  Paras quickly recovers.

Placido steps to the outside.  Placido feints a right hook, and then lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Placido lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Placido lands with a hard jab.  
Placido is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a firm overhand left.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Paras's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Paras's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Placido quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a WICKED overhand left.  IT LOOKS LIKE PARAS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Placido senses Paras is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Placido SLAMS a hurtful left uppercut into his opponents face.  PARAS IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  Paras now seems to have got his legs back.  
Placido is on target with a jab.  
Placido lands a jab followed by a cross to his opponents body.  
Placido tries to keep the action at long range and lands a hard jab.  
Placido quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and snaps his opponents head back with a solid jab.
