Raiden Shishido vs Yutaka Sugimoto

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Chiba promoted show at Matsudo Seto, Matsudo,  taking place on 01/11/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Chiba Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Raiden Shishido (12 - 0) who hails from Funabashi, Japan and Yutaka Sugimoto(8 - 1) from Ichikawa, Japan.  Both Shishido and Sugimoto weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fumio Taketa, and the three ringside judges are Jiro Tobe, Jun Shiro and Hajime Hino.  

Round 1: 

Sugimoto is looking to close the distance.  Shishido throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.
