Montraie Shongwe vs Ollie Mapisa

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Soweto Hall, Soweto,  taking place on 31/10/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South Africa-Gauteng Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montraie Shongwe (10 - 7 - 2) who hails from Mamelodi, South Africa and Ollie Mapisa(9 - 7 - 4) from Randburg, South Africa.  Both Shongwe and Mapisa weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is William Ekstein, and the three ringside judges are Mark Van Jaarsveld, Colin Ntambwe and David Pienaar.

Mapisa steps inside and is on target with a left hook.
