Kian Bapela vs Brad Katalayi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-KwaZulu-Natal promoted show at Durban Aning, Durban,  taking place on 31/10/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South Africa-KwaZulu-Natal Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kian Bapela (10 - 5) who hails from Durban, South Africa and Brad Katalayi(13 - 4 - 1) from Umlazi, South Africa.  Both Bapela and Katalayi weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Cody Fuani, and the three ringside judges are Ebi Muthambi, Corey Nzimande and Steven De Lange.
