An Ung vs Daichi Furukawa

Boxing Daily Report from the Hidaka promoted show at Kyoto Maekawa, Kyoto,  taking place on 06/11/2025:

Clearly Hidaka have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are An Ung (3 - 1) who hails from Qingdao, China and Daichi Furukawa(2 - 1 - 2) from Sendai, Japan.  Both Ung and Furukawa weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kaede Iwasaki, and the three ringside judges are Takeo Nishihara, Dai Usui and Aki Fujii.  

Round 1: 

Furukawa pivots to the left of his opponent.  Ung tries to land a cross, but Furukawa slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Ung advances into close range.  Furukawa quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ung lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Furukawa tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Ung steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand right to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Ung lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Furukawa tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land an overhand right, but Ung sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Ung is on target with a jab.  
Ung steps to the outside and lands a cross.  
Ung digs in a firm left hook to Furukawa's ribs.  
Ung is looking to keep his distance and connects with a firm cross.
