Kei Ikeda vs Kamran Rahim

Boxing Daily Report from the ノックアウトボクシング promoted show at Korakuen Hall, Tokyo,  taking place on 07/11/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kei Ikeda (13 - 0) who hails from Amagasaki, Japan and Kamran Rahim(9 - 7 - 5) from Kuching, Malaysia.  Both Ikeda and Rahim weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nori Tamanaha, and the three ringside judges are Yutaka Hirayama, Yuichi Abe and Isamu Shibuya.  

Round 1: 

Ikeda cuts off the ring, trapping Rahim on the ropes.  Ikeda lands a right uppercut.  Ikeda ties up his opponent.  Ikeda pushes his forearm into Rahim's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Ikeda to stop fouling.  
Ikeda hits home with a right hook.  
Ikeda closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Ikeda clinches his opponent.  Ikeda is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Ikeda sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Rahim dabs at his face checking for damage.  Rahim has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Rahim tries to keep the action at long range.  Ikeda feints a jab, but Rahim does not fall for it and responds with a left hook.  
Ikeda hits home with a right hook.  
Ikeda throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Rahim's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Ikeda steps inside and is on target with a stinging left uppercut.  
Ikeda lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Ikeda lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Rahim's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Rahim's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
