Anthony McGovern vs Fraser Pugh

Boxing Daily Report from the All Talk Promotions promoted show at All Gym, Dublin,  taking place on 17/10/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Anthony McGovern (7 - 0) who hails from Cork, Ireland and Fraser Pugh(0 - 3) from Birmingham, UK.  Both McGovern and Pugh weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Billy Ruane, and the three ringside judges are Brandon Whalen, Brett Rabbitt and Carl MacRae.  

Round 1: 

McGovern lands with a stiff jab.  
McGovern steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McGovern sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Pugh attempts to land a right hook, but McGovern sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

McGovern is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  McGovern ties up his opponent.  McGovern pushes his forearm into Pugh's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns McGovern to stop fouling.

McGovern sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.

McGovern lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
McGovern lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McGovern lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McGovern dabs at his face checking for damage.
