Paul Finn vs Leighton McGinnis

Boxing Daily Report from the All Talk Promotions promoted show at All Gym, Dublin,  taking place on 17/10/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Paul Finn (4 - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Waterford, Ireland and Leighton McGinnis(2 - 4) from Gloucester, UK.  Both Finn and McGinnis weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brett Rabbitt, and the three ringside judges are Carl MacRae, Brandon Whalen and Billy Ruane.  

Round 1: 

Finn is on target with a cross.  
McGinnis is looking to close the distance.  Finn lands a double right hook to his opponents head.

Finn steps inside.  McGinnis throws a right uppercut, but Finn holds on to his opponent.  Finn leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

McGinnis is looking to close the distance.  Finn lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
McGinnis digs in a left hook to Finn's body.

Finn quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McGinnis throws a left hook, but Finn clinches his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Finn pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Finn advances into close range and is on target with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McGinnis's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  McGinnis's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Finn walks McGinnis down, trapping him in the red corner.  Finn pivots to the left of his opponent.  McGinnis throws a right uppercut, but Finn clinches his opponent.  McGinnis leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to McGinnis.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.

McGinnis gets on the inside.  Finn lands a left hook.  Finn holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, McGinnis pushes his forearm into Finn's face.  The referee warns McGinnis and breaks the clinch.
