Hangakore Makawe vs Angus McNichols

Boxing Daily Report from the Spinger Boxing Club promoted show at Beamers Nightclub, Dallas,  taking place on 04/11/2025:

Clearly Spinger Boxing Club have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hangakore Makawe (18(2) - 0) who hails from Honolulu, USA and Angus McNichols(3 - 2 - 1) from Chesapeake, USA.  Makawe weighed in at 135 pounds, while McNichols weighed in at 134 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Paul Mings, and the three ringside judges are Bruce Deliz, Stuart Ferrera and Ian Hesson.  

Round 1: 

Makawe is looking to close the distance.  Makawe quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Makawe pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Makawe is looking to close the distance.  Makawe sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  As Makawe tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McNichols dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to McNichols.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Makawe steps inside and is on target with a solid right uppercut.  
Makawe waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  McNichols finds the target with a jab.  
Makawe steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.

Makawe gets on the inside and manouvers McNichols onto the ropes.  Makawe lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Makawe lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

McNichols's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  McNichols's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
