Corey Seff vs Patrick Adie

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Las Vegas,  taking place on 05/12/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the North American Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UniMas, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Corey Seff (16(11) - 3) who hails from Chula Vista, USA and Patrick Adie(14 - 3(1) - 2) from Calgary, Canada.  Both Seff and Adie weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Waqar Othman, and the three ringside judges are Amon Gibson, Emanuel Pulido and Darryl Draffen.  

Round 1: 

Adie is looking to close the distance.  Seff lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Seff is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Adie dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Adie.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Seff switches the action to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Adie parries the shot and counters with a cross.

Adie walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Seff tries to land a jab, but Adie blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.
