Douglas Powell vs David Waddell

Boxing Daily Report from the Big Bang Promotions promoted show at Big Gym, London,  taking place on 12/11/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Douglas Powell (6(1) - 0) who hails from Dundee, UK and David Waddell(0 - 0) from Birmingham, UK.  Both Powell and Waddell weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Marcus McCallen, and the three ringside judges are Brin Wyburn, Zach Underwood and Darryl Jones.  

Round 1: 

Waddell attempts to land a left hook, but Powell slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Powell hits home with a solid right hook.  
Waddell closes the distance.  Powell lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  Powell holds on to his opponent.  Powell is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Powell about fouling.

Powell lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Powell drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  Powell ties up his opponent.  Powell leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Powell steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Waddell on the ropes.  Powell drives a left hook into his opponents body.

Powell drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Powell is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Powell sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Powell lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a cross to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Powell lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, KNOCKING WADDELL DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  Waddell now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Powell EXPLODES a FEROCIOUS right hook into his opponents face.  WADDELL IS HURT!  Waddell quickly recovers. 
Powell walks Waddell into the corner.  Powell lands a cross.  
Powell is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Powell is on target with a VICIOUS right hook.  WADDELL IS DOWN!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Powell!
