Dai Richard vs Dave Hovey

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-North Carolina promoted show at Charlotte Craig, Charlotte,  taking place on 18/10/2025:

Clearly AI USA-North Carolina have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-North Carolina Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dai Richard (7 - 5 - 4) who hails from Raleigh, USA and Dave Hovey(11 - 0) from Charlotte, USA.  Both Richard and Hovey weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dan Creelman, and the three ringside judges are Oliver Racine, Felix Hughes and John Gerrie.  

Round 1: 

Hovey is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook.
