Montego Cain vs Santiago Cervera

Boxing Daily Report from the Nawanoma Promotions promoted show at Quito Izquierdo, Quito,  taking place on 17/11/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador-Pichincha Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montego Cain (15 - 3(2) - 1) who hails from Quito, Ecuador and Santiago Cervera(9 - 5 - 3) from Quito, Ecuador.  Both Cain and Cervera weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Santillanes, and the three ringside judges are Neper Cifuentes, Enzo Roque and Diego Pareja.  

Round 1: 

Cervera advances into close range.  Cain lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Cain steps to the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Cain steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Cain lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Cervera advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Cain in the blue corner.  Cain lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Cain feints a left, and then hits the target with a stiff jab.  
Cervera tries to land a right hook, but Cain sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Cervera closes the distance.  Cain quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cain steps away from his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Cervera walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Cervera attempts to land a cross, but Cain slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Cervera lands a jab.

Cervera gets on the inside.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cain dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Cain is on target with a jab to Cervera's body.  
Cervera advances into close range and manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Cain lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Cain lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  As Cervera tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cain dabs at his face checking for damage.  Cain has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Cervera throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
