Ichiro Maruyama vs Hikaru Akamine

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at International House Osaka, Osaka,  taking place on 16/11/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ichiro Maruyama (12 - 0) who hails from Nagoya, Japan and Hikaru Akamine(1 - 7(1)) from Matsudo, Japan.  Both Maruyama and Akamine weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Takeo Kudo, and the three ringside judges are Hikaru Mayeda, Daiki Aoki and Hisoka Kinoshita.  

Round 1: 

Akamine steps inside.  Maruyama pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Akamine's body.  
Akamine throws a right hook, but Maruyama holds on to his opponent.  Maruyama leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Maruyama's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
