Ryo Shimamoto vs Kaede Takata

Boxing Daily Report from the Panyin Promotions promoted show at Sam Gym, Kitakyushu,  taking place on 23/10/2025:

Clearly Panyin Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Fukuoka Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ryo Shimamoto (4 - 7 - 3) who hails from Kurume, Japan and Kaede Takata(6 - 7(1) - 4) from Fukuoka, Japan.  Both Shimamoto and Takata weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Isamu Kawai, and the three ringside judges are Akira Umemoto, Nao Kuse and Ryo Kaba.  

Round 1: 

Takata switches the action to the outside.  Shimamoto throws an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.
