Daiki Kaneko vs Yutaka Shimoda

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Kyoto promoted show at Hideki Hori Gym, Kyoto,  taking place on 23/10/2025:

Clearly AI Japan-Kyoto have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Kyoto Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Daiki Kaneko (5 - 8 - 3) who hails from Kyoto, Japan and Yutaka Shimoda(7 - 5) from Kyoto, Japan.  Kaneko weighed in at 147 pounds, while Shimoda weighed in at 146 pounds and 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Kenji Fujimoto, and the three ringside judges are Mikio Nagata, Naoki Kawasaki and Takeshi Shimizu.
