Lew Kusterer vs Matthew Saomba

Boxing Daily Report from the Ten Bob Note Promotions promoted show at Koncerthuset, Copenhagen,  taking place on 28/11/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lew Kusterer (6(3) - 2) who hails from Winterthur, Switzerland and Matthew Saomba(8 - 9 - 1) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Kusterer weighed in at 130 pounds, while Saomba weighed in at 129 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Viggo Andreassen, and the three ringside judges are Ulffr Karlsen, Karr Sund and Ingvar Brinkman.  

Round 1: 

Kusterer advances into close range.  Kusterer throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Saomba time to recover.  
Kusterer closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Saomba throws a right hook, but Kusterer ties up his opponent.  Kusterer throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Kusterer walks Saomba down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Kusterer lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Kusterer throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Kusterer clinches his opponent.  Kusterer is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Kusterer closes the distance.  Kusterer lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body, KNOCKING SAOMBA DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  
Saomba now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Kusterer is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Kusterer lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DOWN GOES SAOMBA!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Kusterer!
