Greg Bethell vs Steven Cornog

Boxing Daily Report from the Simasiku Promotions promoted show at Auckland Pahau, Auckland,  taking place on 28/10/2025:

Clearly Simasiku Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Greg Bethell (10 - 3 - 3) who hails from Waitakere, New Zealand and Steven Cornog(11 - 5 - 2) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Bethell weighed in at 126 pounds, while Cornog weighed in at 125 pounds And 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Corey Hopper, and the three ringside judges are Dale Mostyn, Justin Kahukakanui and Alec Brisbane.
