Mahir Salaam vs Karim Aliyev

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Azerbaijan-Ganja promoted show at Ganja State Concert Hall, Ganja,  taking place on 05/12/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Azerbaijan-Ganja Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mahir Salaam (10(1) - 2) who hails from Shamkir, Azerbaijan and Karim Aliyev(4 - 2 - 1) from Ganja, Azerbaijan.  Both Salaam and Aliyev weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aghasafa Abdurakhmanov, and the three ringside judges are Fakhri Sheihzamanly, Hasan Memedli and Teymur Maharramov.
